Lunch Bunch

One of the most important things you can do on the earth is to let people know they are not alone.

“There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate.”

Today we served meals of soups, chowder and desserts to 57 people and sent home meals to 16 people not feeling well and unable to attend.

Pink and Barb made turkey finger rolls and Jeanette made a large macaroni and cheese; these are always a big hit with our guests.

We celebrated two birthdays this month, Jean and Collette (age not available).

It was great to see Joanne Cook back and looking great. Tessa, our 5 year old supervisor, was not in attendance today as word has it she was busy running her kindergarten class.

The Lunch Bunch has expanded our outreach efforts by sending cards to church members we have not seen for awhile. We keep the cards simple; just thinking of you and hope all is well.

The Lunch Bunch always welcomes suggestions on ways to improve our outreach program. If you have a suggestion; please mention them to Barb, Lorraine or Jean.

Today was a day well spent.

Each day God sends his angels to guide us.
We don’t expect to see them with wings,
instead they come in disguise and we call them friends.
