Education

Our Faith Is Fun for kids has begun and will be on the 2nd and 4th Sundays each month.  Thanks to Cindy Wright and Sue Hine for being willing to share their faith, time and talents with our younger ones.  Big kids are welcome too!

Graduate Sunday at OAK-S is June 3rd.

If you know of someone graduating from high school or college, please let Marshalyn Baker know, so that we can recognize them in worship next month.

Wed. 4/25           Book study @ 6 PM.  A Hopeful Earth, Faith, Science and the Message of Jesus.  If you are able to reimburse the church for the book, the cost is $11.50.

We are looking for someone to attend Annual Conference in Manchester NH June 14, 15 and 16.  All expenses will be paid for by the church.  Please email me (Pam), or let Pastor Nathan know if you are interested.

The MidMaine District UMC offers this opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors to hear the powerful of one of the most influential preachers and teachers of his generation, Dr. William Bobby McClain. Worship is at 1:30 PM, Saturday, May 19, 439 Park Ave, Auburn.  (Worship follows the 2018 Leadership academy, attendance at workshops is not required in order to join in the worship).

Membership Class

This is for those interested in learning more about membership, not requiring a commitment to join the church.

 SIGNS

 SELF STORAGE says the sign.

Some day I’ll store my Self when I get in my way.

Stuff judgment behind a roll down door

and walk up hill to the Redemption Center.

When I get in my way, I’ll store my Self

like the woman who asked Where at the well

after she walked uphill to the Redemption Center.

She buried her Self in her dry jar.

Like the woman at the well who asked Where,

I find the Grace Street marked ONE WAY

and bury my Self in her jar, too.

Instead of drawing water, we dive in.

Along one-way Grace Street,

I wash with my sister in the waterfall.

We dive in without drawing water,

bathe in the welcome of unconditional love.

I swim with my sister in the waterfall

beside the SELF STORAGE sign,

free to welcome with unconditional love,

our judgment in the jar behind the door.
